Balance Patch - August 2026

A being made of molten silver poses above a planet in space, surrounded by flying pirate ships.

The mid-month balance patch is here, let’s dive into the changes!

Balance Changes

Dungeon Master: now finds a Hero or Villain in each turn’s first shop
Runefeather: now offers the Boon as a fourth choice (was replacing one of your treasures)
Silversmith: now buffs treasures discovered with its ability
We Are Blorg: now gives +5 Attack to your Toys with 5 or more character types

Dungeon Master, Runefeather, Silversmith, and We Are Blorg are all getting tune-ups, enhancing their previous abilities to help them shine.

Morgan Le Fae: now buffs herself (was a random character)
Fae Familiar: now also buffs another random character

This pair of spells-matter uncommons are getting buffed, too. Morgan now exclusively buffs herself (fitting for a selfish Villain) to get more value from Ranged. Fae Familiar doesn’t mind sharing buffs, though - just give a friendly pat first!

Crystal: Quest is now Have three Mages (was Have seven total treasures and Mages)

Crystal’s original Quest was a little too ‘free’, working with any pile of treasures and often summoned by Destiny for massive value. This change keeps the focus on rewarding Mage strategies, rather than being an auto-include in most decklists.

Tsarmina, the Tyrant: supported characters now buff their slot when they Hunt (had buffed themselves)
Innkeeper: now improves when any of your characters Hunts

This pair of Hunt-matters Supports are a bit stronger, making them more enticing in deckbuilding for Hunt strategies. (and now synergies well with Black Beard)

Sorcerer’s Mop: now buffs summoned Toys (was any summoned character)

Sorcerer’s Mop has long been a Legendary powerhouse, filling a role as an end-game strategy available in the shared card pool. However, recent additional summoners have made it too easy to take advantage of. With its new focus on Toys, Mop will still be powerful, but should require a bit more planning to pay off.
