August Monthly

The August Monthly is coming, kicking off these events' third season from August 21–23! Put your skills to the test and earn awesome prizes in Galaxy’s Monthly series!

Season 3 Updates & August Prize Breakdown

Starting with Season 3, you can now win an Infinity Token for beating round one!

This season's two Captain-card nameplate banners: one banner is more plainly styled, while the other is ornately decorated.

We're retiring last season's royal-blue banners, replacing them with this wine-red variation.

Mysterious Egg, Romeo, and Paul Bunyan are three of August's artist-signed prizes. Artists' stylized signatures appear over the cards' artwork.

As usual, each Monthly features a new set of exclusive artist-signed cards.

Season 3 features a new exclusive alt-art, Set's the Big Break costume!

Prizes for each stage of the event as follows: Day One, Round 1 - Infinity Token; Round 2 - artist-signed Common (Mysterious Egg); Round 3 - signed Uncommon (Baby Bear); Round 4 - signed Rare (Mr. Fox); Round 5 - Victory banner and 2 Day Two Invites; Day Two, participant - alt-art costume ('Big Break' Set); Round 1 - signed Epic (Pisces); Round 2 - signed Legendary (Guinevere); Round 3 - signed Captain (Romeo); Round 4 - signed Secret Rare (Paul Bunyan); Round 5 - Champion banner and Seasonal invite.

Beat each progressive round to unlock that prize (the first time you beat that round across all your runs). The deeper you go, the more loot you walk away with – and those special few who win it all are crowned Monthly Champions!

Note: we're finalizing details on Seasonal events, and should have more to announce soon!

Set Rerolls

Set Rerolls are unlocked in Monthly games – everyone will have access to all of them! These events are more competitive-focused than normal ladder play, so we don't want Rerolls to cause any uneven advantage between the participants. Plus, seeing more captains is fun and this will give more options in captain-select each round!

Event Schedule

From August 21–23, "Tournament Mode" in the Galaxy app opens for all qualified players. Runs must be completed within this time. The game will tracks progress and shows details like time remaining for each section:

Day One starts at 12pm EST on Friday, August 21st and runs throughout Saturday, August 22nd.
Day Two starts at Midnight EST on Sunday, August 23rd and runs for 24 hours.

When the event is live, we'll regularly update the Event page with the list of players who beat Day One and Day Two.

Note: the Tournament Mode button is visible (though locked) to qualified players on their Galaxy homescreen leading up to the event. If you do not see the button, check your invite tickets - they may be for the following month's event!

Qualified Players

The Monthly is open to everyone who reached Legendary-rank in the previous month. These events are free to enter.

Qualified players earned between 2–4 Invite tickets for Day One runs. Beating Day One earns 2 Day Two Invites.

If you aren't qualified for this event, try for Legendary this month to earn your invite to the next one!
