Chromaria — The World of Living Paint

Grab your brushes, Galaxy is about to get a lot more colorful!

Welcome to Chromaria, where color comes alive and your board becomes a canvas. Paint your slots to power up your team, and discover new characters who make an impact as soon as you encounter them.

Chormaria’s preorders go live in September, with the full launch arriving soon after. Here is your first look at what’s coming:

Your Board is Your Canvas

In Chromaria, a little color goes a long way. The new Paint mechanic brings life to your board, using color to help your team grow.

The three Paintbrush spells: Red, Yellow, and Blue. They each paint a slot their color.

Each color effects the painted slot:

Red Paint – Buff character abilities here by +1 Attack each fight.
Yellow Paint – Buff character abilities here by +1 Health each fight.
Blue Paint – When you cast a spell, give this slot +1/+1.

Every brushstroke counts: whenever you paint, that slot gets +1/+1 regardless of which color you use.

But the fun doesn't stop there… what happens when you combine primary colors? Secondary colors of course! Painting a secondary color gives both abilities AND doubles their effects!

The three uncommon Paintkin characters: Red, Yellow, and Blue. Recruiting them gives a free Paintbrush spell of their color.

Not every team needs a fresh coat of paint. Paintbrush spells only appear in your shop when you have a captain or character in your deck that cares about paint in some way.

A Chance Encounter

Just as paint flows in unexpected ways, so do the creatures of Chromaria!

Satter Fae is an Uncommon 2/2 Celestial Fae character with the ability 'Chance Encounter - Give your shop +1/+1.'

Chance Encounter abilities happen just by showing up in your shop – you don't even need to recruit them!

Card Acquisition and Theme Decks

Chromaria theme decks will be added for some previously-existing captains at release. They’re a great way to try Chromaria’s new mechanics on some of your favorite captains!

Older captains also unlock Chromaria’s cards in the usual ways: as victory loot, in rewards (after unlocking their own set’s cards), and with Infinity Tokens - infinitized captains get all Chromaria cards on release!

Pre-Orders Arrive Next Week

Three exciting new captains will arrive in the store for pre-order starting next week. Their bundles each include a theme deck and exclusive costume for themselves and an older captain.

Everyone who purchases all 3 pre-order bundles will also receive the Chromaria Set Reroll for free!
