New Ranked System
As we work our way through Early Access, we are continuing to refine and improve our various systems in order to provide the best player experience possible. This month we took a long hard look at our ranked system and are making some changes. Note that this is not all of the changes we plan to make to the system but the first of several updates that will roll out over time.
First major change is we will be moving to a 6 rank structure (Wood, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Legendary). Each rank has 5 tiers which you will climb and eventually promote to the next rank. Once you advance a tier or rank, you cannot be relegated down. At the end of each season, you will gain all rewards for the highest rank you received and then reset to Bronze.
Wood Rank
This rank is strictly for our newest players. Every new player will start in Wood Rank where they will play bots until they win 5 matches or play 10 total games, whichever comes first. After which, they will be promoted to Bronze. No players will ever reset back to Wood Rank after they have completed it.
Bronze Rank
Starting with Bronze Rank, you will start playing exclusively against Async player boards and will start earning Jewels based on how well you do in each game.
Finish | Value |
---|---|
1st place | 3 Jewels |
2nd place | 2 Jewels |
3rd place | 1 Jewel |
4th place | 0 Jewels |
5th place | 0 Jewels |
6th place | 0 Jewels |
To advance a tier (i.e. Bronze 1 to Bronze 2) you will need to gain 3 Jewels. Gain 3 jewels at Bronze 5 and you will be promoted to Silver 1.
Silver Rank
Upon reaching Silver, you will unlock 5 booster cards. Advancing each tier of the Silver rank requires 6 Jewels. These jewels are collected at the following rate.
Finish | Value |
---|---|
1st place | 3 Jewels |
2nd place | 2 Jewels |
3rd place | 1 Jewel |
4th place | 0 Jewels |
5th place | 0 Jewels |
6th place | -1 Jewel |
Gold Rank
Upon reaching Gold, you will unlock 10 booster cards. Advancing each tier of the Gold rank requires 9 Jewels. These jewels are collected at the following rate.
Finish | Value |
---|---|
1st place | 3 Jewels |
2nd place | 2 Jewels |
3rd place | 1 Jewel |
4th place | 0 Jewels |
5th place | -1 Jewel |
6th place | -1 Jewel |
Platinum Rank
Upon reaching Platinum, you will unlock 15 booster cards. Advancing each tier of the Platinum rank requires 12 Jewels. These jewels are collected at the following rate.
Finish | Value |
---|---|
1st place | 3 Jewels |
2nd place | 2 Jewels |
3rd place | 1 Jewel |
4th place | 0 Jewels |
5th place | -1 Jewel |
6th place | -2 Jewels |
Legendary Rank
Upon reaching Legendary, you will unlock 20 booster cards. At Legendary, you will collect Jewels at the same rank as Platinum, however there are no longer “tiers” to climb.
Long-term, we plan to implement a system that will show your placement amongst the top 2000 players in Legendary. The top 2000 players will be determined by an internal MMR metric. For now, this system is still being engineered and developed so you will not see those in this patch.
Additional Changes for Ranked
- Ranked stats will be moved from your Profile to the Leaderboard Page
Additional Major Changes
New Captain and Character Frames!
We’ve got all new digs for our Captains and Characters!

Endgame Rewards Sequence
The Endgame Rewards Sequence has been reworked.
You now will get a card, stars, and jewels depending on placement, as before. Instead of a sequence of slow banner notifications, your Battlepass Rewards will pop up briefly in a "cloud", then disappear into the battlepass node. You can zoom cards, which will PAUSE the cloud from disappearing. You can also click the icon to re-open your rewards. Rank-up acts similarly except it's a fullscreen popup with rewards, as there's up to 20 of them and it's a special moment.
Please let us know what you think in the #feedback channel on our discord.
Performance and Memory
This is phase 1 of many such changes, and may not be noticeable, but in particular we want to hear from any players that were previously experiencing startup and performance issues and now have different behavior (better or worse) in this patch. You can reach out to us in the #feedback channel on the discord or send an email to help@milliondreamsgames.com.
We added an FPS setting- defaults to 60 but you can go into settings and reduce to 30 to potentially help with battery consumption and/or performance.
Minor Changes and Bug Fixes
- add settings button to startup
- reenable immersive mode (this simply means the navigation bar will not be always on for Android devices)
- show captain total card counts in collection/deckbuilding, don't show anywhere else
- new eureka, wurmscale tinkerer art
- bottled starlight is now double bonus stars for the Galaxy Pass instead of an additional card

Bug Fixes
- Royal Invitation should now work as intended
- Mirror Mirror can no longer gain negative stats
- Fixed a bug where a secondary mouse click would "interrupt" the initial click.
February may have been a short month but it was packed full of love and appreciation from all our players. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for all our wonderful community members and are excited to hear what you all think about this season's changes. Let us know in the Discord and stay tuned as the next few months will continue to have amazing things coming your way!
